  1. This past Wednesday, the Steelers signed DT Cavon Walker, OT Jarron Jones (both played with the New York Guardians, and S Tyree Kinnel (played with the DC Defenders). On Thursday, they also signed OLB/LS Chrisitan Kuntz (played with the Dallas Renegades). On Friday, they also signed DE Dewayne Hendrix (played with the Seattle BlackHawks). DT Walker was the XFL's sack leader with 4.5 until the league canceled the remainder of the 2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic. OT Jones was originally a DT in Notre Dame before switching to the other side of the ball and was drafted in the 1st round of the 2020 XFL Draft by the Guardians. Kinnel was one of DC's starting safety's, recording 17 tackles throughout the season. Kuntz, before the XFL, was apart of the Steelers roster last year. With Tyler Matakevich gone, the Steelers will need a new special teams anchor. Most of these signings shouldn't be taken too seriously as the AAF signings last year (ex. Kameron Kelly), didn't pan out well. But with the limited cap space, these signings do provide good depth and some could find their way onto the 53 man roster. Are there any other XFL stars you'd like the Steelers to snag? Maybe a reunion with Eli Rogers?
  2. The Pittsburgh Steelers have made their first trade of the 2020 NFL off-season! The Steelers have traded their 2021 5th round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for DE Chris Wormley and a 2021 7th round pick. Yes, you read that right. Kevin Colbert pulling out all the stops this off-season. GM making some moves!
  3. The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed TE Eric Ebron to a 2 year, $12M deal. This was made official by NFLNetwork inside reporter Ian Rapoport: This adds experience and dependable depth to a desperate TE group. Luck broke out with Andrew Luck in 2018, receiving his first and only Pro Bowl and collecting 13 TDs!
  4. The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed 2x Super Bowl Champion (with PHI and KC) LG Stefen Wisniewski to an apparent 2 year deal. This was made official by Wisniewski himself on his Twitter: This adds great experience and flexibility to an offesnive line that lost Ramon Foster and BJ Finney just this week.
  5. Gotta get rid of Big Dan McCullers somehow
  6. Absolutely! And it seems the Steelers are going all in for one last big run before Ben hangs em up. There's no better time than this upcoming season. If it ends like we all hope, Ben for sure will walk.
  7. You hit the nail on the head. DJ will be a great addition to the passing protection and most importantly, the rushing attack. We needed a dependable and healthy FB. The rushing game hurt not having Nix in last year. He'll also be a demon on special teams. Losing Dirty Red lowkey hurts. DJ fills his role. And quietly, this will help keep TJ from hitting the open market.
  8. This loss for sure hurts. This puts us in a hole at LG. But there are options. We tendered Feiler, so we can move him to LG and have Banner and Chuks battle at RT, keeping the OL strong. Or of course, draft OL. Either way, drafting OL is a definite guarantee.
  9. The proposed CBA has been approved by a player vote of 1019-959. Very close voting. The 17-game regular season format (and 3 preseason games) will be effective starting with the 2021 NFL season. NFL Playoffs will be expanded, meaning there will be 7 teams per conference with only one bye per conference. This will give the league and fans an extra wild card game for each conference (3 WC games, instead of the usual 2). This new playoff format will become effective starting with the upcoming 2020 season. This also increases the size of the NFL roster and gameday active roster with 48 (must have 8 offensive linemen). With that, this also increases the size of the practice squad for each team. And of course this gives active and former players added benefits and an increase in minimal salary. Either way you feel about the new CBA, this is great news for the Steelers, as this will give them more flexibility to restructure deals and create cap space. This will give the Steelers the opportunity to resign serious upcoming FAs (Dupree, Hargrave, Hilton, Feiler). With the Steelers scratching the bottom of the barrel for any cap, this will surely help. Thoughts on the new and approved CBA?
  10. Great great mock! I'm very high on Baun, Akers, Bredeson, and Fotu! I like Stone a lot too. This is great work! But if the Steelers tag Bud, I don't see em going EDGE so soon, but Baun and Watt would be deadly. Awesome post!
  11. Two days ago, Le'Veon Bell was spotted in Pittsburgh by a Burgh native. He was later scene at Mike & Tony's Gyros on the South Side. Bell would confirm this on his Twitter account. Although he could've just been back to visit old friends, this definitely got Steelers Nation riled up and speculation of him returning to the Black and Gold city has been sparked. The likelihood of this happening if very slim, as the Steelers don't have much trading ammo to get Bell back. However, unless the Jets and Jets HC Adam Gase just cut him and send him to FA, a return could happen. But similar to the Steelers trading for Bell, the likelihood is very slim. Either way, it seems Bell misses Pittsburgh and I think a majority of Steelers Nation misses him. Would you gladly bring Bell back with open arms if the opportunity is given to them?
  12. The 2020 NFL Combine is in the books and as always, there were a lot of risers and of course some disappointments. The 2020 NFL Combine started off with the TEs, which is arguably the Steelers biggest need heading into the 2020 NFL Draft. One of the biggest eye-openers was Albert Okwuegbunam's 40 yard dash of 4.49! That was just a tip of the iceberg for what would come in the remaining days of the Combine. Another position Steelers Nation has been advocating the Steelers to address is RB. We all know the current situation with Conner's health and contract and the depth at RB. Pleasantly, the Steelers looked at RB more than any other position at the Combine, interviewing some top names, such as Jonathan Taylor, who ran a 4.39 40, JK Dobbins, who only participated in the bench press, but should have a showing at his pro day, Zach Moss, Cam Akers, AJ Dillon, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, etc. They also met with speedster WR Jalen Reagor, who many Steelers fans have in play at 49. They would even look at defense. With Bud Dupree and/or Javon Hargrave moving to free agency the Steelers will have to replace one, the other, or even both. They would look at premium EDGE rushers Curtis Weaver and Josh Uche and IDL Ross Blacklock. Steelers are definitely looking at many options. Are there any names listed above you'd like the Steelers to be in play for? Maybe some names the Steelers haven't met with yet? With pro days coming up, it'll give us a bigger picture at their targeted positions and guys.
  13. They act like we have a game tomorrow. I've never seen such stupidity in my life. Btw, that beard is fucking glorious. He should be ashamed of himself for saying such a disgusting comment. #BeardGoals It's not Ben's fault he can't erect at night. I heard his wife prefers Mario anyway. Oh and the Minkah thing. People still think that's a dumb trade? How can any functioning human speak such blasphemy? They just give anyone the job these days.
  14. Absolutely. You state facts with us having to use the rushing game, it not even a question at this point. Snell showed a lot of potential toward the end and if history repeats itself, he could be another RB that breaks out in his 2nd year (Bell and Conner most recently). Great post! #SnellYeah
